Hi! My name is Olia, and I love fairy tales for adults. The kind that take your breath away and carry you, at least for a little while, far from the strange reality of everyday life. At night, I live in the world of fantasy — I write, and sometimes I draw a little too. By day, I’m a practising psychologist and neuroscientist. For years, I worked in neuropsychology labs and studied how the brain works. Psychology helps me a lot when I create and develop the characters in my books — to me, there are no unimportant characters!
I’m originally from Ukraine, and that’s where I wrote Revealed One — a fantasy duology consisting of two novels, Yavlinka and Empath. Just a few days before the war began, I also finished Artelium, a separate fantasy novel. After the invasion, I had to leave the country, and I now live in Northern Ireland. For several years, I hardly touched my writing.
Four years later, little by little, I started translating my novels into English. The translation of Revealed One — Book I: Yavlinka is already finished, and you can buy the ebook here on my website. I’ve also almost finished translating Book II: Empath, and it will be available here soon too. And after that, I’ll start translating Artelium.
Oh, and this is Ace. He helps a lot with the writing and would be very offended if I didn’t mention him.
